The Offline American Toy Fair was successfully held

After two years of online activity, the U.S. toy industry finally reunited this year in Dallas, Texas, for the American Toy Association's "2023 Preview & 2022 Holiday Market." On the first day of the show, the latest special edition of the American Toy Awards was announced.

Compared with the last offline exhibition (2019 Dallas Toy Fair), the number of exhibitors attracted by this exhibition increased by 33%, and the number of pre-registered overseas buyers increased by nearly 60%, reflecting the huge demand for offline exhibitions in the industry.

During the exhibition, the organizers also held many activities, including forum activities specially held for female toy entrepreneurs, inventors, start-up companies and female executives, providing them with a platform to directly show and introduce products to major buyers such as Walmart and top toy companies such as Hasbro and Takara Tomy, so as to obtain cooperation opportunities.

The special edition of the American Toy Awards, unveiled on the first day of the 2023 Preview & 2022 Holiday Market, received 550 entries and nominated 122 finalists after being reviewed by an expert jury comprising toy and game experts, retailers, academics and journalists. Winners in the professional categories are determined by voting from the American Toy Association's member companies, toy retailers (general and professional), media, and consumers.

At present, Lego is the biggest winner among the 17 categories of awards published in the special edition of American Toy Awards, and has won five annual awards: collectible toys, assembled toys, "big boy" toys, game sets and toy cars. Well-known brands such as Mattel, Moose Toys, Crayola, Pokémon, Just Play, Jazwares, etc. have also won awards for their products.

In addition, the Annual Toy Award winner will be determined by a panel of expert judges, and the Popular Toy Award winner will be determined by online consumer voting (voting address, ToyAwards.org, voting is open until November 11). Both awards will be announced on November 21, 2022.
